Using the site
UnitGlide is a free set of unit converters, provided as is, for anyone to use without an account or sign-up. By using unitglide.net you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Accuracy
Every converter uses internationally defined conversion factors, or the exact scale formulas for temperature, and we work hard to keep them correct. Even so, the results are provided for general, everyday reference and come with no warranty of any kind. For anything where an error could matter, such as medical, legal, financial, engineering or safety decisions, double-check the figures with a qualified professional or an authoritative source before relying on them.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee the site will be free of errors, bugs, or downtime.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UnitGlide and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its conversion results.
Advertising and third parties
There are no ads on this site and no advertising network is loaded. If that ever changes, the privacy policy is updated before it goes live, and this section is rewritten to describe what actually runs.
Intellectual property
The UnitGlidename, design and code belong to its operators. You are welcome to link to any page. Please do not copy the site's design or scrape its content wholesale for another product.
The reference data is licensed separately
The tables published under reference data, including every calculated column, are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence. You may copy, adapt and republish them freely, commercial use included, provided you credit UnitGlide, https://unitglide.net. Attribution is a requirement of that licence, not a courtesy.
The API and the embeddable widget
The free JSON API and the embeddable converter widget are covered by the terms on the developers page, which is the canonical statement for both. In summary: no key is required, the endpoints are CORS-open, attribution is appreciated but not required when you use the API or the widget, and there is a documented fair-use expectation rather than an enforced rate limit. Where the developers page and this page appear to differ, the developers page governs API and widget use.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site changes. The current version is always the one published on this page.
